Abeka K4 Bible Memory
I have always been impressed with the Abeka scripture memory program included in the Abeka curriculum. Besides learning Bible verses, it is great practice for public speaking to require children to stand up and say their verses to an audience, even if its only for Dad. It also gives them a sense of accomplishment in the effort they have put into memorizing.
Making a video of your child saying her verses is a great way to reward your child, since most children love to watch themselves on video. Another plus to making a video is that as your child watching the video of himself saying Bible verses, he is reviewing what he has memorized. A great idea for this is to continually add new video of your child saying memorized verses, or anything else memorized, to a DVD each month. That way, you can end the year with all the memory recitation recorded. This becomes a great tool for review.
The videos show what a four year old girl from Abeka Academy has been able to learn.
